Ernest Pope is a Member of the Anacacia Capital Business Advisory Council. Ern has >40 years of international experience in the food and beverage industries.
Ern was the former Non-Executive Chair of Anacacia's portfolio companies, Yumi Quality Foods, a leading supplier of quality dips and snacks and Rafferty's Garden, a leading baby food business. He is formerly a Non-Executive Director of Alesco Limited, Amcor Limited, Southcorp Limited and Golden Circle and is a Non-Executive Director of Foodbank. In 2005, Ern retired from the Nestle Group in his then role as President and Chief Executive Officer of Nestle Purina for the Asia-Pacific, Africa and Middle East region. Previous roles included Managing Director of Nestle Australia Ltd plus other senior international executive positions based in Switzerland, New Zealand, the U.S.A. and the Philippines and he spent 15 years with Kraft Foods before Nestle.
He is a past Director of the Grocery Manufacturers of Australia, and a founder and past Director of the Australian Food and Grocery Council. Ern holds a Bachelor of Science from Melbourne University.
