After extensive research, Australia and New Zealand's leading independent property valuation and advisory firm Opteon has secured an agreement to partner with Anacacia Capital on an exciting growth plan.
"Anacacia has spent many months getting to know the Opteon team and we are delighted to be partnering with them to help the business grow to the next level." says Anacacia Managing Director Jeremy Samuel.
The announcement to Opteon’s staff was followed by the news that the Company has promoted a new managing director, Scott Chapman, to head up the Australian and New Zealand operations.
An existing member of Opteon’s Executive team, Chapman has a lengthy career in the property valuation industry. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer, Chapman initially joined Opteon as a Managing Valuer in 2009, and for over a decade has held key leadership roles across the business.
With an MBA and extensive experience in both residential and commercial valuations, Chapman has helped propel Opteon’s growth domestically and overseas. Earlier this year he led the project that launched a zero-contact property valuation into the market at the very start of the COVID-19 restrictions, enabling Opteon to continue to provide services to clients throughout the lockdown period.
Chapman has also played a key role in transitioning several smaller valuation businesses to the Opteon Group. He has worked closely with Opteon’s New Zealand operations, and led Opteon’s large residential valuation team in Australia.
“I am delighted to serve as Opteon’s first Managing Director in Australia and New Zealand. There is a real sense of excitement throughout the business as we continue to innovate and evolve the delivery of property valuations, and it is a great time to step into this role,” says Chapman.
Chapman will report to Group CEO Chris Knight. Knight will maintain his focus on Opteon’s global growth strategy that includes the current significant USA presence while holding close ties with the Australian and New Zealand businesses, with Chapman managing the day-to-day operations in those Australian and NZ regions.
“Scott Chapman has a deep understanding of the valuation industry and is an exemplary representative of Opteon’s purpose of empowering people to make informed property decisions.”
“He will lead Opteon with the same commitment to excellence he has demonstrated over the last 11 years, putting our clients at the centre of everything we do, while providing meaningful careers for our people.” says Knight.
“This, alongside the potential to partner with such a well credentialed and experienced team in Anacacia, provides confidence in our direction and delivery of our global growth plan” Knight continued.
Scott Chapman commences in the promoted Managing Director role for Opteon Australia and New Zealand in January 2021. Opteon has access to over 6,500 valuers and appraisers across Australia, New Zealand and the US with leading edge technology and quality expertise to support its clients.
